Interop Las Vegas
Interop Las Vegas was fantastic! Big Switch CEO Douglas Murray led the conference session Why the Hyperscale Data Center is Leading the Enterprise on Thursday, April 30.
The discussion covered:
- Why hyperscale companies are the first to cross the chasm
- What benefits they're reaping
- Why the data center of the future will be software-defined
- How to think hyperscale and network your data center accordingly
Immediately following his talk, Doug was one of the judges for Startup Hot Seat, which brought four enterprise startups to the stage. Each startup got eight minutes to share their innovative solutions to problems. Attendees and the expert panelist also had an opportunity to ask the tough questions.
And that's not all. Big Switch was also part of InteropNet, which created a lab on the Expo Floor to test Software-Defined Networking (SDN) systems and applications including open source software and vendor hardware and software. Big Switch demoed its fit-for-purpose bare-metal SDN solutions including Big Cloud Fabric and Big Tap Monitoring Fabric that provide unprecedented agility, tremendous operational simplicity and hyper-scale economics.
